Marta Providing service in the Cumberland Area

Good news to people who use Marta and live in the Cumberland area.

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority may soon be allowed to carry passengers to and from Cobb Community Transit’s Cumberland Mall station and the Cobb Galleria.

Under an agreement expected to gain approval in November, a one-year trial program will allow Cobb Community Transit and MARTA bus drivers to pick up passengers outside their jurisdictions in the Atlanta-Cobb Galleria corridor.

It only would be the second push into Cobb for MARTA buses, which now only cross the Chattahoochee River at Six Flags Over Georgia. Source
