Plenty of Atlanta viewers for Christmas specials, ‘The Mentalist;’ Owl City, Reba singles hot on Atlanta radio

The cold weather must be keeping people at home because many shows hit season highs in ratings this past week, especially on CBS.
Among those who brought in the eyeballs: CBS’s “The Mentalist” (16.4 million), “Two and a Half Men” (14.8 million), “Big Bang Theory” (a series best 14.4 million), “Survivor: Samoa” (13.3 million), “Fox’s Bones” (10.9 million), CBS’s “Cold Case” (10.2 million), NBC’s “Law & Order” (8.8 million) and Fox’s “Glee” (8.1 million).
The top primetime program of the week was the Giants-Eagles showdown on Sunday, which drew more than 20 million viewers nationally, 412,000 locally. And three ABC Christmas specials made the top 10 locally (and top 20 nationally), including Oprah’s “Christmas in Washington,” the new animated special “Prep and Landing” and the classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
